Have these guys ever seen SharePoint?!?!?!
I have read this entire article TWICE and I cant find anything true in it!!! Search scalability examples are all over the place. Simply search for "MOSS SEARCH SCALABILITY" and you will return tons of docs. Business Data Catalogs are some of the best tools in the market for integrating LOB apps into the portal. Speaking of which, MOSS includes Business Data Catalogs for MS Dynamics CRM, Siebel and SAP out of the box. Plus brain dead ways to create new ones. They call out no OOB admin tools. What about the web UI AND Designer which let you manage/lockdown the solution to the Nth Degree?!!?! Excel Services is not "read only". It allows for "what if" scenarios. They say workflow is immature yet I havent been able to find anything I couldn't do with Designer or Visual Studio. ActiveX is not required for Forms unless you are using digital signatures!!! Where do they get this stuff? It works in Safari and Firefox without ActiveX for cryin out loud! MOSS does use AD groups (it also maintains it's own groups and users database if you allow it to) and also has code (not tools) for pluggable authentication. I have no clue what the one person means about a single directory not being enterprise ready... I have TONS of customers with a single AD where MOSS is exposed on the Intranet, Extranet and Internet without any coding required. If I were Microsoft, I would sue these guys for libel!
